4▣Dashboards
●Calendar-year view on big widgets
Big widgets can now show the current calendar year from Q1 to Q4, with last year shown as a dashed comparison line. The current year stops at the latest month with data, and hovering a month shows both years’ values. You turn this on as a setting in the Dashboard Editor.
●Set targets for a whole KPI column
A new “Add target” option in the KPI menu sets the same target on every row of a column in one go. You can then adjust individual rows as needed. You can also change or remove the target for all rows of a column from the same menu.
●Copy a full tab when creating a new one
When you create a new Dashboard tab and copy from an existing tab, you can now choose to copy the entire setup or only the columns.
●A helpful empty Home page
If your Home page Dashboard has no widgets yet, you now see a guided starting point instead of an empty message. From there you can create a Dashboard from a template (Inventory, Suppliers or Products), favourite an existing Dashboard as your Home page, or create or favourite an Insight.
5✦Insights, Forecast & AI
●ForecastClosed beta
Forecast is now available as a closed beta. Insights can show a forecast of where your numbers are heading, displayed as a clearly marked continuation of the graph. If you are interested in knowing more, please contact us.
●AI transparency
In line with the EU AI Act, which we respect and support, Inact Now now clearly shows where AI is used. Forecasts are marked with a small AI badge, and a tooltip explains what the forecast is based on.
●Redesigned Insights overview
The Insights overview has a new, richer layout. Each row shows the Insight’s data source, owner, description, filters and when it was last updated, and has one menu for favouriting, subscribing, sharing, editing and hiding. In edit mode you can rename groups, choose their color and icon, reorder them with drag and drop, and collect groups into master groups.
●New template gallery
The “Choose template” window is now a gallery of cards, and each card has an icon and a one-line description. You can search across all templates, collapse or expand sections, and select several templates at once. The button shows how many Insights will be created.
●Classification queue in Inact Now
The classification queue is now available in Inact Now, together with the description on the Matrix view.
6▤Master Data View
●Interactive classification timeline
Click a segment in the classification timeline to see its exact dates, duration and category rule. Segment labels are now readable on any background color. You can add a comparison row by choosing a column from a searchable, grouped picker, and swap it by clicking the column name.
●Redesigned Info tab
The Info tab has a cleaner layout. It has a decimal toggle and a copy-to-clipboard button, and shows an info icon wherever a column has a description.
●Clearer stats bar
The stats bar at the bottom of the Performance tab now shows each column name above its value, with icons and info tooltips. It matches the style used in Dashboards.
●New trend graphs
The trend graphs in the Trend view of an Insight and in the Master Data View have been rebuilt, which gives smoother and more consistent graphs.
●Refreshed look
The Master Data View’s tab menu has a cleaner, modern style with an orange underline on the active tab. A subtle background color now separates the different areas of the view.
●Redesigned “Item also appears in” popup
The popup has a new look. It groups the Actions and Insights an item appears in, each with a count, and lets you expand long lists of Insights.
1◆Inact Analyzer
●Update Analyzer from inside Analyzer
You can now update Analyzer to the latest version directly from the application. You only need to download and run the installer from the website the first time you install Analyzer. After that, Analyzer fetches and installs new updates itself.
1▦Extended Classification
●Classification beyond 3×3
Classifications can now be extended beyond the standard 3×3 matrix, for example to 3×5 or 3×7, while still using percentage-based distribution. This lets you split up categories whose content is too varied for a single service level. It is useful when classification is the basis for calculating safety stock, for example at large distribution centers. The extended classifications work across Inact Now, Inact Analyzer and Inact Manager.
3+Other Improvements
●Custom subscription emails
You can now change the subject and text of emails sent through subscriptions, including Action subscriptions. The default is “Weekly update from Inact Now”.
●Permission icons in the Admin Panel
Each permission level (User, Super User, Admin and Subscription Only) now has its own icon, so you can see a user’s role at a glance.
●Improved platform stability and security
We have added protection against excessive request volumes and improved security in how drilldown data is retrieved.
7✓Bug Fixes
●Correct numbers for blank groups in grouped aggregations
In grouped aggregations, the group of rows with no value in the grouping column wrongly showed the grand total. It now shows its own numbers, so the groups add up to the total. You may see lower, correct figures in Insights, Dashboards, Actions, trends and PDF reports that group by columns with blank values.
●Action grids load with outdated sort settings
An Action grid no longer fails to load when its saved sort column no longer exists. It now falls back to the default sort order.
●Action overview works for all Action users
Users without create or admin rights no longer get errors on the Action overview. Options they don’t have access to are now hidden.
●Items keep their place when applying a standard layout
Applying a standard layout in Edit layout no longer makes items disappear from the Action panels.
●Heatmap drilldown on the horizontal axis
Clicking a column header and then a cell in a Heatmap no longer causes a “Failed to create Heatmap” error.
●Heatmap button order
The buttons in Heatmap edit mode now appear in the same order as the results they control.
●Trend graph on very wide screens
On very wide screens, the trend graph no longer overlaps the table below it.
